Triumph-esque glass

I met a lovely lady who is involved with The Stag Owners Club, who asked me if I could do something with the Stag Emblem. It’s quite a tricky shape and without a saw for cutting glass would not be something that I could do. So either I had to enclose something in the glass; create the shape from pieces of glass or use fibre paper to create the shape and melt the glass over it. I decided to try with the fibre paper, having first made a template.
Stag Fibre PaperI decided to make the piece a full 6mm thick using two layers of glass, but probably I should go for a 3mm piece on it’s own in future.

This will be set in a piece of wood so that a candle can burn behind it.
